Believe it or not, it happens. A new marketer will spend days, weeks, even months perfecting his sales copy. He’s taken care of every phase of his pre-launch, and he thinks he’s got all the elements in place for his Internet marketing campaign:
Grab ‘em by the eyeballs headline – check
Persuasive deck copy – check
Keyword rich content – check
Focus on benefits – check
Testimonials – check
After all this hard work, it’s sad to see what’s often missing: a strong call to action.
Without a strong call for action, your affiliate sales will suffer. Don’t forget to prompt your prospects to buy now. Use a deadline, limit the quality, or offer a trial package to prompt the sale. If all the elements fall into place but your call to action is weak, your affiliate sales will be weak too.

Why You Should Dare to Be Different in Your Affiliate Marketing Business
You’ve probably seen claims by marketers that guarantee that you’ll succeed in your affiliate marketing business if you just use “their formula.” Although you can learn how to make money online using “proven methods,” the best measure of your success is to test your own ideas against the status quo.
If you want to stand apart from the crowd in your affiliate business, take some chances. Don’t blend into the crowd. Stand apart from it. Otherwise, you’ll shortchange your affiliate marketing business.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel; you just have to reinvent it differently. Take an old idea, and repackage it to make it seem new again. Just one small difference may be all it takes to shoot your affiliate marketing business straight to the top of your game.

Are You Hurting Your Chances at Successful Affiliate Marketing?
Are you wasting time in your affiliate business? Does it seem that you’re online all the time but never accomplish anything? The key to successful affiliate marketing is to use your time wisely. The downside to Internet marketing is that there are so many distractions at our fingertips.
If you want to make money online, you’ll have to be careful about whittling away precious time with futile pursuits. If you find yourself checking e-mail 10 times a day or participating in forums for several hours a week, you might be standing in the way of your success. You’ll need to limit Internet time that does not convert into cash.
For one week, try limiting your time checking e-mail and surfing the web. See how much you’ll accomplish. If your plan is to work smarter, not harder, find ways to make the best use of your time online. That way, you’ll have more time to enjoy your life.

Putting the Customer First in Your Affiliate Marketing Business
Have you given any thought to how you’re going to handle customer correspondence in your affiliate marketing business? Do you plan to answer every e-mail yourself, or will you hire someone else to do it for you? If you’re going to operate a true affiliate business, develop a plan for building your customer service department.
Customers talk…to each other, in public forums, and in social networking sites. If you want to make money online, make your customers feel as if they’re your number one priority. If the bulk of the mail is too much to handle, hire one or two people to respond to your e-mail.
When customers take the time to reach out to you, they’ll wait for a response. If you answer their e-mails, they’ll regard you in high esteem. If you don’t, many of them will assume that you’re ignoring them…and that’s bad news for your affiliate marketing business.

Why You Should Conduct Research in Your Affiliate Marketing Business
Let’s say you have a great idea for a product for your affiliate marketing business….You just “know” it will make you a millionaire. Your family thinks it’s a great idea. Your friends think it’s a great idea. Best of all, YOU think it’s a great idea. Is this all the ammunition you need to launch a killer campaign?
Absolutely not.
One of the biggest mistakes you can make in your affiliate business is to fall in love with an idea to the point where you get tunnel vision…and ask the wrong “advisors” for feedback. If you want to know whether or not your idea is a great one, you’ve got to look beyond Mom for the answer.
To get an idea about whether your idea is a good one, check out your competition. If they’re successful with a similar product, chances are that you can make money online with the same idea.
